Review: Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips

listerine_whitening.jpg

What They Say: Dissolves on Teeth - No Mess - Nothing to Remove. On average, strips dissolve in 5 - 10 minutes. Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips kill germs that cause bad breath. As the strips dissolve on your teeth there is no mess and nothing to remove. Use twice daily for two weeks for noticeably whiter teeth. Results may vary.

Toya's Take: I both love and hate this product. I love that it truly does what it says it'll do - after using this product for two weeks, my teeth are noticeably whiter. Yay! The strips also do have a breath freshening effect, which is great. The downside is, as well as these things work, I'll never use them again. I just hate the way they feel. Applying them to your teeth is a breeze, but once applied, they feel sticky and waxy, which is uncomfortable. And, as they start to dissolve, I found myself wondering if I really should be swallowing what was left behind. Not to mention that the strips dissolve unevenly, so there was residue remaining on some teeth and not on others, which meant I had to brush after they strips were supposedly gone. Ick.

If you don't mind dealing with all that - go for it. These things really do work.

Retail Price: $23.99 (Drugstore.com, or your local drugstore)

Rating: - they do work, but I had to take one star off for the ick factor.

I tried these last night with disaterous results. Within 10 minutes of application inside of lips started to burn. I quickly rinsed mouth, and to my horror I woke up with balloon lips! Can't wait to speak to Listerine corporate.

Couldn't go to work and very painful situation. No thanks listerine
