Review: Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser

aveenoclearcomp2.jpgWhat They Say: "This instant foaming cleanser with moisture-rich soy extracts and a blemish-fighting ingredient, helps improve skin's tone and texture and clears up blemishes without over drying, leaving skin soft, smooth and even-looking. This mild formula won't clog pores and is gentle enough for everyday use."

Alissa's Opinion: This cleanser has a lot of great qualities. It's free of oily residue and fragrance, the foam is easy to use, and the 0.5% salicylic acid keeps my skin clear with everyday use. Unfortunately, the pump dispenser was not easy to use. The bottle is so thin that it tips if you try to use it with one hand. And after a few days, the pump became so sticky that it jammed in the down position whenever I pushed it. It was still useable, but very awkward.

Retail Price: $7.69 (at drugstores and superstores everywhere)

Hmm, I've been using the same bottle for well over a year now and never had any problems at all with the pump, but I don't find that it does a great job with keeping my face clear...

The bottle drove me nuts. I liked the smell and it cleaned alright, but what's wrong with just a regular cleanser? Why do I need some air-infusing pump that will break immediately and screw everything up?

My dermatologist has a bottle of this at his office as well. The pump is also screwed up there.

Back to Cetaphil with me!

i have used this for a couple of years and like it also. the pump does sometimes stick but i don't find it to be that big of a deal. i am going to try the sensitive skin cleanser next though.
