Melissa's DeLush Downlow: Somehow this smelled subtly of licorice to me. The oil is incredibly softening, and though the end-result is a tad slick to the touch until it absorbs into your skin, it isn't greasy. I didn't necessarily notice any "revitalization" when applying it after a few hours on my feet that couldn't be explained by the mini-massage you give yourself when applying it. It does make your skin feel great. It's a nice small way to pamper yourself, though you may not feel like spending this much unless you're in an indulgent mood.

The reason it smells of licorice is the anise. Anise seed is a star shaped seed that is often used in cooking, and has decidedly licoricy scent and taste. My father loves the anice cookies that his grandmother used to make, not my favorite thing though.

NY Fashion Week: "Fresh Out of the Water" at Herve Leger by Max Azria

The inspiration for the look at Herve Leger by Max Azria was the girls from the Bond movies. The make-up artist wanted to highlight beautiful skin with honed bones. The focus of the look? A wet eye, which they achieved with MAC gold Pigment. The eye was outlined with MAC Technakohl Eyeliner in Photogravure to give it an additional punch along with a nice coat of MAC Plushlash. To give additional focus to the eyes, the artist used a "chalky" lip. Beyond a simple nude, it was a pale, pale matte pink that had the effect of erasing the lips from the model's face.

The result was a simple, sophisticated look that is pretty and wearable for those with warmer skin tones. If you've got blue undertones, you can still achieve the look, but I would recommend a little more color on the lips to avoid looking frostbitten.
