Melissa's DeLush Downlow: I've been using this moisturizer for about 2 months now, and I do believe it has improved the texture of my skin. My skin type is normally combination with a bit of oiliness on the nose and forehead. I think this lotion feels wonderful, and when I think my skin is dull and drab, this always makes me feel like I look more fresh. I'm not sure scientifically how much improvement it's had on my skin, but I plan to continue to use it. I've noticed smoother texture, a brighter complexion, and less fluctuation in oiliness/dryness.

User Tip: Don't get it in your eyes, it really stings. ;) Also, the bottle is small, but it spreads nicely and covers well. I use it morning and night, whenever I feel I need it.

Thanks so much for reviewing this product! After reading your description I went right out and bought a bottle. My skin is a combination of dry and oily with the occasional breakout, so when I put on my foundation it sits unevenly on my face. I've been using this solution for 3 days (AM & PM) and can already notice a huge difference in my complexion. It evens out the texture of my skin and makes it softer. I also love its mild fragrance (it comes fragrance free also) and slight shimmer. :)

NY Fashion Week: "Fresh Out of the Water" at Herve Leger by Max Azria

The inspiration for the look at Herve Leger by Max Azria was the girls from the Bond movies. The make-up artist wanted to highlight beautiful skin with honed bones. The focus of the look? A wet eye, which they achieved with MAC gold Pigment. The eye was outlined with MAC Technakohl Eyeliner in Photogravure to give it an additional punch along with a nice coat of MAC Plushlash. To give additional focus to the eyes, the artist used a "chalky" lip. Beyond a simple nude, it was a pale, pale matte pink that had the effect of erasing the lips from the model's face.

The result was a simple, sophisticated look that is pretty and wearable for those with warmer skin tones. If you've got blue undertones, you can still achieve the look, but I would recommend a little more color on the lips to avoid looking frostbitten.
