Jamie's Thoughts: I am thrilled to tell you that this product is totally Delush! Aquaphor is possibly one of the best personal products in the drugstore aisles today. There a million and one uses - so many, in fact, that it has it's own website - www.aquaphoruses.com.
That said, I've used this for chapped lips, chafed skin, cracked/dry winter hands and feet, post-wax calming therapy, on my eyelids for some shine...I swear, the list just goes on and on. Flyaway and frizzy hair! Eczema! Aquaphor Ointment has all the benefits of standard Vaseline, but none of the weight, greasiness, or density.
I've been using Aquaphor for years, and I cannot imagine NOT having it in my makeup bag/first aid kit/bathroom drawer/purse. It comes in every size imaginable - which is good, because that means I'll never be without it.

What They Say: A firming, tightening and smoothing corrective cream. MUSHROOM extracts for firming. IRIS FLOWER for tightening. Added CAFFEINE evens out and smoothes while natural vitamins support collagen product. Correct and perfect. Brighten and tone. Can also be used on décolletage.
So what does it do?

Why: Natural flower estrogens used to help the skin regulate its moisture content.
Firms and lifts skin

Why: This extract has the capability to increase cell turnover and collagen synthesis improve skin hydration and firmness, and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
Provides antioxidant benefits
What: Tocopheryl acetate-Vitamin E
Why: Rice peptides help to deliver Vitamins E and F to renew and protect.
What Lisa Says: The best facial regimens and cosmetic surgeries cannot belie the fact that when the neck and décolletage are not cared for, generally woman's age is apparent for all to see. All too often these areas get the short shrift. I do try to take care of both of these areas (as well as my hands) and willingly gave up my regular products to give Be Fine a try. While I liked the idea of "food for the skin", I noticed not all of the ingredients were natural. There are some chemicals in this cream so those looking for organic make sure to read the label.
I used this product after my a.m. and p.m. cleansing routine. Packaging is very nice - a pump bottle that never once clogged and a top that snapped on and never fell off during all the travel I've done this summer. The product it's self is more like a lotion than a cream. It has an "allergen free fragrance" that is very subdued and smells fairly earthy. Not a bad scent but not one I particularly enjoy in a skincare product.
As for performance, after 2 months use, the only thing I noted was that this lotion absorbs quickly leaving your skin feeling very soft. I did not, however, notice any tightening, lifting or wrinkle reduction. It could be that because prior to testing this product I have always taken care of my neck and décolletage areas. Which leads me to my final point: my regular skin care has done more for my neck and décolletage than just about any specialty product made for those specific areas. Unfortunately, Be Fine fits into that category of creams as well.

What They Say: "derma e® has excellent formulations to care for and nourish the entire body. We include antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and specific skin nutrients to ensure your skin receives health-generating benefits along with moisture.
Areas of your skin other than your face also need special care and attention. Skin we keep covered most of the time needs nourishment in order to function, feel and look its best.
Remember, the skin is an important body organ, in fact the body's largest, and all of it requires special attention in order to stay healthy and look its best. Research now demonstrates that the fastest way to nourish your skin is by applying topical nutritive formulas externally. The food you eat also plays an important role, but these nutrients take longer to reach your skin in order to affect a change.
Lotions are lighter moisturizers that hydrate and nourish the whole body. Body crèmes offer a more intense moisturizing treatment and are favored by those with drier skin. "
Jen's Experience: Now that I'm breaking out skirts and and sundresses nearly every day, it's important to me that my legs look their best (or as good as they can when they're as white as mine are). I find that a lot of lotions that are good in the wintertime are too much for the summer -- too greasy and too sticky. This one though provides just enough moisture for my legs with two or three pumps and leaves them looking great. When I first applied it, I thought the moisture just seeped right into my skin, but I have been pleasantly surprised at the wear; when I step into my evening bubble bath, I can still feel it working. I absolutely adore the Melon and Ginger scented lotion and will wear it in lieu of perfume at times. I also tried the Pink Grapefruit scent, and while I'm sure that some of you out there will love it, it was a bit tart for my taste. I highly recommend this moisturizer for summer, though, whichever scent you choose.

Well known to help with a whole host of skin problems, our Pure Shea Butter melts at skin temperature and soothes troubled skin anywhere. Use it on hands, elbows, lips, or anywhere else a little loving touch is needed.
Scent offerings change from day to day or week to week, depending upon what our freshest batches of product are. If your favorite isn't here now, try something new, or check back from time to time. You can always email us to ask about your faves. NEW!! Net weight 2.5 ounces.
Note: Our shea butter is imported from Africa and is the freshest that we can get our hands on. Due to seasonal and crop differences, the color can vary from white to a light creamy yellow. Be assured that whatever color shea you get, it's fresh, pure and ultra refined using natural clays. Yum."
Melissa Says: I tried this out in the Chocolate-Dipped Orange scent (which I highly recommend), and just couldn't get enough of it. Though the consistency was a little bit more thick than I anticipated from the description, it still spread nicely on my skin and made it SUPER soft. I would mostly suggest this for hands, elbows, feet...anywhere that could use the extra softening this luxurious blend provides. Though you can still use it on your arms and legs to create babysoft touchable skin (however it does take about 10 minutes or so to completely soak in because of its concentration).

What They Say: "Particularly dry areas of the body such as the heels, elbows and knees need extra special attention when moisturizing. The Mango Moisturizing Balm Stick targets those areas with easy application and a delicious blend of natural moisturizers. This solid balm contains soothing mango, avocado oil and shea butter to smooth rough, dry skin on all areas of the body. Its portable packaging makes it easy for travel and won't grease hands upon application."
Jen's Experience: I have problems with dry skin not just on my face, but on other parts of my body too. Most body moisturizers do a reasonably good job for general dryness, but on places like my elbows and on really dry patches, it is nice to use something with a little more punch, and this one definitely delivers that. It's a little on the greasy side, but it does the job and even makes exfoliating those areas a little easier. I LOVE that it's in a stick, so there's no getting it in my fingernails or making my hands extra greasy. I also really like the smell, which is fruity but not overwhelming at all. This isn't a product I would try to use on large areas of my body, but if you're looking for something to make a difference in a majorly dry area on your body, this is definitely a product I would recommend.

Active Ingredients
PURE BOTANICAL OILS: (Apricot Kernel, Olive, Rice Bran, Grape, Black Currant, Sunflower Seed Oil, Bergamot, Cardamon, Clove) These 100% pure plant oils provide protection from dehydration, add softness and suppleness, provide radiance to dull skin and create an aromatic experience.
SHEA BUTTER: Protects from dehydration.
RED TEA: Flavinoid-rich antioxidant. Protects against free radical damage.
BETA-CAROTENE: A powerful antioxidant that converts into vitamin A; Helps smooth skin.
Melissa Says: This is meant to be a very rich moisturizer, and it is just that, without being greasy or slick. In fact, it might be a little bit more thick than you're anticipating. Aside from the fact that it will seal in moisture, another good reason to apply it after a bath or shower is that it will help the cream spread just a little easier that way.
You'll also notice a slight firming sensation after applying this product - not like an itchy or uncomfortable tightness, but like the skin is soaking up the moisture. One thing to take note of as well is the strong initial scent of the cream, which is mostly indicative of the clove in the ingredients. Personally I like the warm herbal scent, and it isn't incredibly intense after it's been on a while.
Your skin will be left comfortably hydrated and soft after using this intense moisturizer.

What They Say: "Keri® Renewal™ Milk Body Lotion is a rich and creamy lotion that leaves skin looking healthy, luminous and feeling silky smooth. It is specially formulated with a unique blend of essential milk proteins and Vitamin E to give you deep moisturization and radiant looking skin."What Lisa Says: Sometimes a lotion is just a lotion - it does the job of hydrating the skin but is really nothing out of the ordinary when stacked together next to the bottles of lotion on the drugstore shelves. Sad to say, Keri Milk Body Lotion is right in there with the rest. For the price and oz. size, I expected a little more. Instead, I received a body lotion that is just "okay", takes quite a long time to sink into the skin and leaves a thick greasy feel. It has a fragrance I can only describe as "not worth $16.00". As far as being luminous and radiant goes, the only place I can think of that it comes from, is the sheen from the product as it tends to sit on top of the skin for quite a long time before it ever sinks in.
If you're looking for a drugstore body lotion there are far more brands that are just as good or better for a third of the price. Some of them even smell good too. I just can't justify putting my "beauty bucks" here.

What They Say: "Keri® Renewal™ Skin Firming Lotion immediately starts moisturizing while it improves the appearance of skin's elasticity and firmness. The advanced formula combines Fibronectin, a specialized protein found in the body that helps the natural process of rebuilding skin, with a collagen-elastin complex to improve the appearance of skin's elasticity and firmness."
Jen's Experience: I was prepared to give this product a pretty good review when I sat down at my computer. I've tried some pretty expensive firming creams that did the trick (at least temporarily), and this one works just as well in my opinion. It lasts for hours -- thoughout the day, my workout, pretty much until I get back ito the shower. The biggest drawback for me with regular usage is that the smell is terrible; it smells like it belongs in a hospital rather than in a spa. I might have been okay with that, but I am really just shocked at the price tag on this. For maybe 20 usages, I would have expected something that smells delicious...or maybe just a bigger tube.

Jen's Experience: It's a bit early to start thinking about Christmas presents, but I have to say, this one is making my early list of possible gifts. The scent is absolutely heavenly to me, like a floral perfume that just happens to make my body feel extra smooth and silky. It works well with my daily fragrance choices, although those who avoid floral fragrances may not appreciate the srrong floral scent. This is an excellent choice, however, for those in search of a luxurious fragrance with a fabulous scent for yourself or for a gift.

"Our natural bath salts smooth skin and lift your spirits. Natural sea salts soothe and help release tension. Vitamin and protein-rich almond oil nourishes skin and locks in moisture." ($14.50)
Jen's Experience: I have tried a lot of bath salts in the past, and some have had a nice moisturizing effect in the water, and some have had a pleasant scent when I pull out the cork. I have never tried any bath salts as dreamy as these. The scent I tried was Peace Train, a lightly perfumed scent that makes my water smell fabulous throughout my marathon baths, and leave my skin so soft I barely need to apply any moisturizer. I think they're a little pricey for the tiny container, sure, but seriously? If I go to the GAP store and these are on sale, I think I am going to have to buy a case. This is my favorite product in the whole line.
"Our lightweight, everyday formula is enriched with moisturizing ingredients that leave your skin soft and supple. Sunflower and hazel seed oil moisturize. Vitamins A, C and E keep skin nourished." ($12.50)
Jen's Experience: I am a little less impressed with the body lotion. The glass container is pretty on my bathroom counter, and the scent I tried, Moonwalk, is pleasant enough (although it has nothing on Peace Train), But the lotion was like Keri with a more potent scent. Perhaps on it's own this one would be more of a stand-out, but in the full line-up, this one falls a little flat.
Jen's Experience: I loved the scent I tried in the handcream, NightFall. There was a time when I wasn't so much into musky scents. The scent in this handcream had some musky undertones, but wasn't so overpowering that it conflicted with the perfume I was wearing. The hand cream itself is more luxurious than the body lotion and really keeps my hands feeling moisturized without being too greasy. This is another product in the GAP Body line that I highly recommend.
($11.50)
Jen's Experience: This body scrub from GAP Body is in close contention with the bath salt for my favorite product in the line. The scent I tried, Sugar Snap, is a bright, happy, little scent that helps me to wake up in the morning. I also love the texture of the scrub. The salt isn't overly abrasive, and mixed with the oils in the blend, it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and smelling great. This is yet another winner from GAP Body that is worth checking out.

What They Say: "Keri Nourishing Shea Butter Moisture Therapy is an intense, creamy body lotion containing 5% natural Shea Butter as well as Vitamin E that hydrates and conditions dry, thirsty skin."
Toya’s Take: I look for rich, creamy lotions and creams all year long because I have such dry skin. Even in the summer, when it’s hot and humid, the skin on my legs and arms can be incredibly dry, so I need a heavy-duty moisturizer. This is a great one. Just as the description says, it is intense and creamy. I love that it includes shea butter, as I have found that it works really well to keep my skin soft, smooth and hydrated all day long. It smoothes onto the skin quite easily, but start with just a bit at first, as it can be greasy – it’s better to start with less and have to add more than to put on too much and wind up with legs that look like an oil slick. I loved the scent and that it didn’t work against my perfume. My husband loved it, too! I definitely will purchase this product.

What They Say: "This fragrance-free body moisturizer instantly drenches dry skin, leaving even the scaliest skin feeling soft."
Jen's Experience: I always like moisturizers that aren't too greasy, that do the job without making my legs feel like they're coated throughout the day. This one does a great job of moisturizing without the heaviness of a lot of body butters. Personally I like a light and lovely fragrance with my body moisturizers, but those who are craving an unscented moisturizer that won't conflict with your perfume, this may just be the moisturizer for you. But for the price? Although it's been a great light moisturizer for summer, I'm not so sure that it's worth it.

What Melissa Says: Cherry, huh? ...Yeah, I didn't quite get that. The smell isn't terrible but leaves a bit to be desired; it certainly will disappoint you if your heart is set on cherry.
That said, this is very light and soaks into the skin, leaving a soft, dry-touch feel. But it just doesn't give noticeable moisturization (hydration) at all. Skin is mostly just scented afterward. Maybe the smell would sway me toward wanting to reach for this if it were more pleasant. Otherwise, this is just...meh.

What They Say: "This chocolate mint cream is an indulgence for the body that restores your skin's balance and envelopes your skin in a rich moisturizing glow. On the skin's surface, cocoa butter moistures while peppermint, capsicum and arnica go to work to relieve sore muscles."
Jen's Experience: When I first got this cream, I liked the light texture of it, especially during these warmer summer months. The chocolate mint scent is very subtle, so much so that I didn't discern it for the first several uses. Which is good, since a chocolate mint seems like more of a heavy, cold-weather scent. So while it's working for me right now, it's pretty middle-of-the-road, especially for the price. I'm not usually one to let price affect my opinion of a product, but when I saw that the tiny little tub costs $50, I was completely shocked. It's not a bad product, by any means, but there are plenty of others that will work as well for less money,

About the body moisturizer: “Neutrogena® Summer Glow Daily Moisturizer SPF 20 with Helioplex™ technology provides a healthy-looking glow and broad spectrum UV protection just by moisturizing.
This moisturizing formula softens skin with a light fresh scent, while advanced broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection stabilized with Helioplex™ technology provides daily UV defence. With each use, it enhances skin for a light, natural glow. Used daily, your maximum depth and intensity of color will be reached after about one week.”
Alissa’s Opinion: Let me start by saying that last summer I tried every single drugstore brand of gradual tanning moisturizer. I have pale, sun-hating skin, so I am on a continual quest for the ultimate fake tan. I used Neutrogena’s formula for medium skin tones, and found that it gave me a good hint of color after two applications. The lotion absorbed quickly and didn’t leave any telltale streaks on my skin. My only complaint is the scent. It is horrible and strong, and I felt the need to apologize to my coworkers who had to smell me all day.
About the facial moisturizer: “This unique lotion not only softens and smoothes skin with ultra-light moisture, it gradually enhances the natural color of your skin so it looks healthier, more even toned and radiant. Defined with a naturally derived complex, it gradually builds just a touch of color. Your skin will look subtly warmer with a luminous glow. Broad-spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15 sunscreens help prevent premature signs of aging caused by everyday exposure to sun's damaging rays. ”
Alissa's Opinion: This product left me wanting more. I used it for a week straight and didn’t see any sign of a glow. It worked well as a light moisturizer and I love that it has sun protection added, but it just didn’t do what it was supposed to! Oh, and it made my face smell horrible too.

What Lisa Says: Compared to other lotions I’ve tested, Kazam Hand and Body Lotion has to be near or at the top of my “Love it!” list. This product does everything it promises and a bit more. Whether applying just after the shower or mid-day this product sinks in almost immediately leaving an absolute trace of nothing on your skin – no waxiness, oiliness, nada! The only thing I was left with was visibly hydrated, soft, skin that lasted most of the day along with a lingering fragrance of ylang, sandalwood and jasmine. I did apply it twice daily but that’s all I needed. While the fragrance is lovely it is a bit stronger than most lotions but that’s part of the Kazam experience: nut butters, extracts and essential oils. Best of all, there was absolutely nothing on the label I couldn’t pronounce or wasn’t familiar with.

With Tocca's Bath and Body products, I've found a whole line that is so fabulous it should have a category all it's own. Note that Stella, a blood orange scent, is also available in perfume. Tocca Body Wash in Stella
"An ultra-luxurious foaming bath gel that contains natural cleansing agents from olive oil, calendula flower extracts and honey. In the shower or in the tub, Bagno Profumato gently washes and thoroughly hydrates all skin types. Also available in Cleopatra and Florence."
Jen's Experience: I can't wait to use this product every day in the shower. The absolutely delicious citrus scent wakes me up and brightens my morning. The cleanser has a great lather that makes my skin feel clean. The hydrating ingredients feel like they really moisturize my skin, but they wash away nicely. And did I mention the fantastic scent?

Tocca Rich Body Cream
"A sumptuously rich body cream combining the benefits of natural ingredients such as cocoa butter and shea butter with our signature fragrances. Absorbs easily and leaves the skin soft and supple with a dewy glow. Also available in Cleopatra and Florence."
Jen's Experience: As with the body wash, the scent is a major selling point for this product. But that's not the only reason this product is fantastic. When I use it right out of the shower, the moisturizer melts right into my skin. It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy at all -- I can put my clothes on moments after I apply it -- yet it works throughout the day. The scent lasts throughout the day as well. And the beautiful glass jar just tops off the whole package. This is handsdown my favorite body moisturizer. I feel like I should save it for special occasions or something, but I just can't resist using it every day.

Tocca Soap
"A gentle, moisture-rich bar soap that uses key ingredients like Kukui Nut oil, blue-green algae extract and vitamin E to hydrate, firm and repair skin, leaving it soft and glowing. Available in Cleopatra, Stella and Florence."
Jen's Experience: The first thing I noticed about this soap is that the bar is gigantic! And unlike other specialty soaps I've tried, it really lasts a long time and doesn't fall apart. The scent, as with the other products, is still heavenly, although not as noticable as with the body wash. The hydrating effects are just as good as that of the body wash, though. Had I tried this product alone, I would probably be raving about it, but I think I prefer the body wash if given a choice between the two.

What They Say: "Our shea butter is top quality. It is naturally extracted from the wild crafted karite nuts and hand picked in West Africa. This butter then undergoes natural cleaning to take out impurities. Shea butter provides natural sun protection and skin healing properties. We add only all natural fragrances and pure essential oils to fragrance our butter.
The essential fatty acids present in shea nourish the skin. Shea butter is doctor recommened for eczema, psoriasis, post-surgery scars and rashes. It also works wonders on a babies' gentle skin, replacing petroleum and mineral oil, which can be toxic. Applied daily, shea butter can help reduce the onslaught of stretch marks in expecting women. Natural shea butter replaces many toxic skincare products found in households around the world.
Each jar comes wrapped with a geniune shea nut!"
"You'll love the aroma and soft texture of Kalahari Melon shea butter. Melons originally grew in the wild in Africa. Bush tribes of Southern Africa still use the wild melons as a valuable source of water in the dry desert region. We've added skin quenching melon seed oil to our organic shea butter and sprinkled it with all natural melon fragrance for a one of a kind, delectable experience."
Melissa Says: This shea butter is so very soft, it begins to emulsify almost the moment you dip some out with your fingers. It feels comforting and smooth going on, and soaks into the skin quicky without leaving a greasy feeling afterward that some shea butters do (some of those more intense ones are best for overnight treatments for this very reason). Instead, all you are left with is incredibly soft skin and no mess. You can even use it at your keyboard, smoothing onto hands and dry cuticles, and continue to go about your work. Some of their other scents to try include Frankincense and Myrrh, Cape Chamomile Lavender, Moroccan Mint Vanilla, and Madagascar Vanilla. While I loved the scent in the jar, one thing I noticed was that that scent dissipated quickly after I applied it, though it was still faint.

I've seen this jar size and there is plenty to last long enough for you to test out the formula or a new scent. What They Say: "Henry’s Body Lotion is a luxurious, deeply penetrating formula that combines botanicals with the latest advancements in the moisture-retention technology. Plumps and strengthens skin for a smoother and healthier appearance. Also includes anti-aging benefits.
Main Active Ingredients:
Glycerin - A humectant that attracts moisture into the skin.
Olive Fruit Oil - Antioxidant that nourishes and heals by locking the water into the skin.
Shea Butter - A solid fatty oil that soothes and moisturizes the skin and protects against UV rays."
Lisa’s Experience: I really looked forward to testing this product, as my skin has been very dry this winter. I showered and use my favorite exfoliant, patted myself dry and smoothed Henry Beautiful’s Cucumber Gardenia Body Cream from neck to toe. I was not disappointed. It hydrated every bit as well as it smelled. I thought it an odd combination of fragrance, but the two worked very well together: the green cucumber smell predominant finally yielding to the gardenia after it had been on about 15 minutes. It's a great fragrance, though it does end up being sweet smelling for those of you who don’t care for gardenia.
It is also thick, but within about 15 minutes it had soaked right into my skin and yes, it looked hydrated and plumped, was soft to the touch and had just as smooth feeling as it looked. I did need to re-apply it a second time later in the day to keep that hydrated feeling but that’s usually the case with most products.
As mentioned, while I was testing this product, I tried it directly after showers and then again throughout the day. There was a big difference in absorption, skin softening and moisture retention when using it after bath/shower. I’m guessing this has to do with the humectant and other wonderful oils contained in this product. Give it a try!
Additionally, because it's in a plastic 8 oz. bottle, it's easy to toss in a bag to travel without worry about breakage. Doesn’t get any easier than that. Look for more Henry Beautiful reviews in the coming weeks!

What They Say: "Each lightly scented 8” x 8” body moisturizing towelette is drenched with a rich blend of natural oils, antioxidant rich vitamins and moisture attracting humectants that leave skin feeling smoother, softer and more supple.
For a wonderfully convenient way to moisturize, use just out of the shower, on the run from one activity to another, after a relaxing pedicure or when traveling. Moisturize legs with a Spa Towell after shaving for a super smooth, lustrous sheen that can last all day. Use this new beauty product as often as desired on face, neck, hands, legs and body to soften, pamper and protect skin.
Individually packaged body moisturizing towelettes are extremely handy and convenient. Packets are lightweight and easily fit into purses, pockets, backpacks, golf bags, tennis bags...the list goes on and on. Pack several into your suitcase for your next trip. No more bulky bottles or messy spills and leaks!"
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: These moisturizing towels are the first of their kind that I've tried. When unfolded, they really are large enough and contain enough moisturizer for the entire body. The scent is pleasant, fairly light and fresh, though it does seem a bit more strong initially out of the packet. It was a little weird getting used to how much product is on the sheet before you apply it to the skin, but it isn't messy. Skin is left softly hydrated with no slick or oily feeling, though I would have liked the effect to last a bit longer.
I would say that these would be a great alternative to bringing bottles of lotion when you travel (especially with current airport regulations), as they take up so much less space and there's no chance of them leaking onto your things. Because of the cost difference per use, however, this isn't a very economical choice for regular daily use. Still, I like that these can fit into any purse, bag or back jeans pocket and are a great portable way to freshen up and moisturize when you're on the road or can't get home at night from work before going out.
I know the description suggests using these on legs after shaving, but I really think that if they came out with some smaller versions that could be a bit less expensive per use, that would make something like that much more workable. I know they're coming out with more new products soon, so perhaps that will be one of the new options soon.

About the Conditioner: "Cypress Orange Hair Conditioner blends Indian Gooseberry (Amla), Almond, and Soy with Almond Oil to create a wonderful moisturizer that revitalizes and strengthens damaged hair."
Jen's Experience: I was in love with the bottles at first sight. The plastic bottles look like they're made out of glass, and the gold caps and beautiful labeling make me want to just put them on the shelf for decoration. I was a little hesitant to try them on my hair after it was recently colored. Then I read the labels, and was incredibly impressed with the list of natural ingredients. There are no harsh detergents at all, not even any chemicals. I decided to give it a shot and was very pleased with the results. The orange scent is pleasant but not overpowering and my hair didn't seem to retain any of the scent. The cleanser didn't lather a whole lot (probably owing to the lack of detergents), but it did the job -- my hair was clean but well moisturized, thanks to the conditioner. Used with volumizing products, my hair gets excellent body, but even without, it's soft, bouncy, and extraordinarily glossy.

About the Body Cleanser: "A perfect hydrating shower gel with Honey, Rice, Wheat and Sugar extracts to nourish the skin while cleansing."
Jen's Experience: The scent of this is the same as the hair cleanser, but I found the scent to be more noticable as I used it in the shower. It doesn't foam or lather a lot, but it does a good job of cleaning and a great job of restoring moisture to my skin. The product is so gentle it seems like it could even be used on the face. I definitely enjoy using this in the shower!
Retail Price: $18.00 each (Alcanz.com)
About the Body Moisturizer: "A perfect moisturizer with Rice and Wheat extracts and Sunflower and Olive Oil which nourish and hydrate the skin."
Jen's Experience: Much like the other products, I was impressed with the low-key, pleasant scent and the natural ingredient list. This is one of the only scented moisturizers I've used where the scent wasn't overpowering and didn't really linger (although with this product, I certainly wouldn't have minded). The moisturizer soaked into my skin quickly, making it a great product for blue jean days or use before bed. When I do use it right before going to sleep, I can't even tell I had it on by morning. My legs aren't dry, but they don't feel the slightest bit slick.
Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with this line, and I think it would make for an excellent indulgence for yourself or an impressive gift for others.

What They Say: (about the Soap) "Our cream handmade soaps are made with the highest quality olive oil, shea butter, monoi de tahiti oil, fresh cream, goat milk, essential oil, and fragrances. The combination of fresh cream and extra shea butter gives this handmade soap a wonderful thick, silky, and creamy lather.
Unscented soap is always available to those who do not prefer any fragrance.
Designs may vary from batch to batch as our soaps are handmade and handcut.
Cream Handmade Soaps are sometimes referred to as Designer Soaps, due to the design and patterns of the Handmade Soap. 6 oz."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: What I like about these lovely soaps are the pretty blocks of color and soft lather. Though they don't provide incredible moisture once you're out of the bath, they're still gentle and provide a nice clean feeling without residue. I also want to note that some of the scents in this line can be a bit strong and perfume-y, but others are pleasant. (I tried the Peaches and Cream, Dutch Apple Pie and Creamy Peppermint Sea.) I would recommend that you carefully look for something that sounds like what you'd enjoy. However, I believe many of the scents will appeal more to those who prefer the florals that predominate many of the options. Another option, of course, is to get the products unscented, as they offer.
What They Say: (about the Body Butter) "A little body butter makes everything better!
Especially this luxurious and natural formula of shea butter, monoi de tahiti oil, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, goat milk, vitamin E, and silk fibers.
Handmade with the finest quality of healing oils, butters, essential oils, and fragrance, our body butter is ideal for post-shower or bathing to seal in moisture, leaving you with healthy skin that immediately feels smooth and protected.
Once you start using Whipped Shea Monoi Body Butter you will wonder how you ever did without it."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: That definitely sounded promising, but I must say I was disappointed with this product. The scent that I had (Gardenia Peach, described as "sweet and feminine tropical floral gardenia, paired with sweet juicy peaches") didn't strike me as sweet at ALL. In fact, I felt a bit bombarded with the floral part, and it wasn't very pleasant. I actually decided to try to wash it off after wearing it for a short amount of time because I felt like it was giving me a headache. Also, it appeared that there were tiny bits of sparkle on my arms after I applied it, which I can only assume were in the formula, though they were hard to see in the jar. Compared to some other body butters I've tried, this one didn't feel nearly as nice on the skin, either. Unfortunately, I think this is a product that needs to be completely re-formulated or simply eliminated.

What They Say: "A Shielding Lotion is far more effective as a dry skin care treatment than mere moisturizing lotions or protective creams. If you suffer from dry skin, you know that just using a moisturizing lotion doesn't solve the problem.
Skin MD Natural™ is promptly absorbed, without the slightest hint of any greasy or oily feeling or residue, transforming the outer layer of skin into a hydrating invisible shield.
Glycerin has been the standard against which all humectants are measured. Until now no other humectant drew in as much moisture from the air as glycerin. But the proprietary formulation in Skin MD Natural™ has a moisturizing factor of at least 6 times greater than glycerin.
Skin MD Natural™ utilizes the finest effective natural skin care ingredients for dry skin treatment along with the latest advances in dry skin care technology to hydrate and protect the skin.
This is an entirely new concept in skin care requiring a new classification: "Shielding Lotion". A shielding lotion keeps moisture-robbing irritants away from the skin while the proprietary "super" humectants hydrate the skin throughout the day.
An accumulated effect of Skin MD Natural is fully realized after only a few days of daily use. Depending on how dry your skin is the first few days may require reapplications after only a few hours. Usually, after a few days of continuous use, only one or two daily applications are necessary for complete dry skin care.
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: At first, I just applied this lotion thinking, "Okay, it's a normal, lightweight lotion. I don't get it." But after massaging it into my hands for a few seconds I started to see part of what makes this lotion different. It suddenly dried to a (slightly) slick, non-greasy feeling that's hard to describe. Let's just say I could rub my thumb and index finger together and they'd sort of squeak! It's not uncomfortable - in fact, it's very comfortable. You can literally feel this very thin sort of protective "coating" on your skin. I do want to emphasize though, that there is no greasiness, nothing in the way of you performing daily activities.
Another thing to note is that if you have very dry skin, it may still be dry for a few days. This doesn't exactly soften those spots immediately, but in fact protects your skin to give it a chance to heal. For instance, I have this nasty habit of picking at my cuticles. This gets especially worse during winter, when the dry air and hot water I use makes my hands have rough cuticles and also often dry, rough palms. When my cuticles are dry, I can't stop myself from picking at those spots. I know, it's gross.
My point is, I noticed that while using this as directed (every 2-8 hours at first, then every 12-48 hours), washing my hands didn't dry them out as badly (I could feel it almost beading on my skin) and even though the spots I'd picked at weren't very soft right away, they were soothed enough that I didn't have the urge to make it worse and they had a chance to begin to heal.
Although this won't make your skin magically silky immediately, it WILL help your skin to maintain its own moisture and help restore it. The directions also say it can be used on the face if needed, but I would only recommend applying it to the occasional persistent patch of dry skin. There is a very light scent, but it should be barely noticeable to most users (no fragrance is added).

What They Say: “Improve your skin’s elasticity on those sexy body parts; belly, breasts, and hips with SEXY BELLY. This vitamin rich treatment is loaded with shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba oil which helps with cell regeneration and capillary circulation. Sexy Belly should be used twice daily to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, while conditioning the skin. Great for “mommies to be” and sensitive skin."
Toya’s Take: I love, love, love Carol’s Daughter and I’m a bellydancer, so I was excited to test this product! But, sorry to say, I was a bit disappointed. Sexy Belly goes on very nicely – it makes your skin feel smooth and supple, which I like. But, I don’t see any difference between this and any other body butter. In fact, I like Carol’s Daughter’s body butters better (Wow – that’s a bit of a tongue twister!) because they have such yummy scents. Sexy Belly has no added scent at all, which might be great for some, but left me feeling let down because the lovely, fresh scents are part of what made me fall in love with Carol’s Daughter. Also, since I don’t have any stretch marks on my belly, I couldn’t really prove if it works to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. If you want my advice, stick to the scented body butters in the Carol’s Daughter line. I rub those on my belly, breasts and hips and they work just fine (in fact, I’m wearing Jamaican Punch today).

What They Say: "This patented Triple Oat formula with shea butter extract relieves and soothes itchy, extra dry skin, and is clinically proven to moisturize for 24 hours."
Jamie’s Thoughts: Let me begin by saying that this lotion does exactly what Aveeno claims: it’s gentle, it lasts 24 hours, and it relieves my itchy, extra dry skin. While it may be right for some folks, my own experience could have been better. During the winter months in particular, I have patches of itchy, dry skin on the back of my arms, my calves, and my shoulder blades. This product provided a really nice solution for that – no more tight, uncomfortable skin in those areas!
I also put it on my more normally balanced areas – my legs, my hands, etc. Not so successful there, I’m afraid. After 5 hours, I still felt mildly slimy – as if the lotion had simply been “too much.” Also, I can’t agree with Aveeno’s claim that the lotion is “fragrance free.” When you first apply it, there is a definite plastic smell – like the time I put my banana clip in the Easy Bake Oven. Waxy and very distinct, like a really old tube of lipstick. Fortunately, the smell fades.
Overall? Great solution for problem areas, but I don’t recommend it for full body moisture unless your entire body is troubled and dry. Use with caution.

What They Say: "One of our best selling products! Our signature lotion contains chamomile, lavender, sweet melissa and honey extracts to hydrate skin. Vitamins A and D reduce the appearance of fine lines while Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, regenerates and soothes skin."
Jamie’s Thoughts: Right off the bat, I was irritated by the packaging on this lotion – the plastic bottle is so hard that it makes getting any lotion out a chore. Not a promising start.
I’ve kept this lotion at my desk for weeks now – with winter coming, and hand washings galore to avoid the flu, I’ve really spent some time using the product. A “welterweight” lotion, it absorbs quickly and evenly without even a HINT of greasiness. It feels water-based to the touch – perfect for ladies who like their moisturizers light. I can put it on, rub it in, and go right back to work without getting gunk all over the keyboard and mouse.
The citrus scent is very refreshing, with strong notes of orange and grapefruit. It’s a fantastic pick-me-up on a cloudy day! It also doesn’t linger, for better or for worse, and won’t stink up your office. I recommend this product.

What They Say: "Originally created over 12 years ago, this is one of the first Body Butters made in the Carol's Daughter kitchen by founder, Lisa Price. A creamy mix of cocoa butter, shea butter and natural oils, blended to a smooth texture that is easily absorbed into the skin. This buttery treat, leaves skin super smooth and velvety. The fragrance is just how you remembered it: mango, vanilla and essential oil of patchouli for a soft sexy scent."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: I knew that Toya had reviewed some of Carol's Daughter body butters in the past, and was excited to give this re-issued original formula a try. And let me say, I was NOT DISAPPOINTED.
The scent? Only slightly intense in the container, but on your skin it's very luscious. The texture is thick but spreadable and smooth. This is serious hydration for your skin, and lasts a very long time.
User Tip: Apply this in the evening or at bedtime, as it can take a little while to completely soak into your skin (make sure to rub it in really well). If you do it at night, your skin will feel absolutely amazing in the morning. This has also worked WONDERS on my dry cuticles (I rub on a tiny amount on a few times throughout the day), and this would also make a wonderful overnight foot moisturizer - just apply, put on cotton socks, and go to bed!

What They Say: "Luxe, moisturizing, life-enhancing body souffle. All-over moisturizer scented with apricot lavender.
I'm not here, I'm really at the SPA.
Good-bye to phones, traffic, noise. Wrap me, Detoxify me, Reiki me, make me swoon from Shiatsu. Book facials, reflexology, yoga, hikes. I will be peeled, polished, buffed, aromatherapied. Stress melts away. I am glowing, healthy. All is in balance, my yin realigned with my yang.
How to make this happen: After showering or bathing massage a generous amount into warm, damp skin. Pure bliss, skin is velvety soft, your spirit is renewed."
Jen's Experience: When I first got this body souffle, I loved the adorable packaging and nice aroma. Since I also got the Cocktail Lip Gloss at the same time, I guess alcoholic drinks were on my mind -- I thought the scent of this souffle was supposed to be margarita scented. Either way, the lovely light, summer-y scent is still my favorite part of this product.
I use this frequently after my evening bath while my skin is still warm, as it directs. You have to use a pretty large amount of this to really get good coverage, but once it's on, it lasts for hours. This is not one that I would recommend for just moisturizing dry legs throughout the day; it really doesn't seem to work unless you use it right out of the bath or shower.
This is a great body moisturizer if you want to pamper yourself, but if you're looking for a good general moisturizer for the body, this is not the one to choose. But if a lovely margarita (or apricot, as the case may be) scented body souffle sounds like a great way to end a soothing bath, this might just be the product for you.

What They Say: (about the Body Lotion) "As you use it daily, the result will be more supple, healthy skin while eliminating dryness and flakiness. Extra beeswax provides thicker, more long lasting coverage."
(about the Body Butter) "The soy creme is paraben free. All ingredients are derived from botanical products. It contains Vitamin E as an antioxidant, emollient, and moisturizer for the skin. The Vitamin C serves as an antioxidant that also maintains PH."
(about the Bubble Bath & Shower Gel) "All you need is a few capfuls under running water to create a relaxing experience.Or a few dops on a sponge will give you lots of luxurious lather.custom&handmade. Fragrant bubble bath/shower Gel relax, refresh and rejuvenate while promoting skin health, and help alleviate the stress of the day. Made without any mineral oils and no artificial coloring."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: I have to start by saying that I admit I caught myself judging the products a little before I actually tried them based on their packaging. Not low-quality by any means, but it didn't really catch my eye aesthetically and seemed a bit too "homemade" for me to be completely sure about. However, once I opened the containers and smelled the very scrumptious scents, I immediately let go of that hangup. (Scents options include: Chocolate Strawberry, Chocolate Cherry, Cherry Vanilla, Tropical Vacation, and more.)
(Body Lotion) While I didn't find these to be heavily-moisturizing, I do think that if you like to use lotion for the fragrance benefits it is very nice. If you really need heavy skin moisturization, that isn't why you should reach for this. But as a scent layer, this light moisturizer works great.
(Body Butter) This also didn't provide as heavy of a moisturization as many typical body butters, but was more airy and non-tacky. It soaks into the skin right away and has a dry-touch feel.
(Bubble Bath & Shower Gel) Smelling equally fabulous, this combo product produced a nice amount of bubbles with only about 3 tablespoons-worth poured under running water, even though they began to slowly disappear before the end of the bath, and as a shower gel it provides a great sensory experience with nice suds.

Jen's Experience: I'm all about body moisturizers that are really luxurious and ultra-moisturizing, but what I don't like is moisturizers that feel greasy and wet long after it should have soaked in. Lucky for me, this is a moisturizer that works without leaving a residue or a greasy feeling on my skin. If you're in need of a deep moisturizer for very dry skin, this probably isn't a good winter choice for you. I would recommend it for all skin types for summer wear, and normal to oily (as it recommends) in cooler or dryer weather.
The scent is a little like baby powder, but it's not overpowering. It's not something that you'd wear for the fragrance, but more for its moisturizing ability. Overall, this seems like a good product, although it probably is comparable to moisturizers by Jergens or Keri, which are much less expensive. This does make me want to try their facial moisturizer though; if it's as gentle and non-greasy as the body lotion, it may be perfect underneath foundation.

Shea butter, which is rich in fatty acids, is renowned for its moisturizing properties. Fruits, flowers and spices kissed with vanilla and laced with musk, create this delicious concoction. Toya’s Take: I am a huge lover of Carol’s Daughter and have been for a while, so I was more than happy to test their new body butters. I applied the body butters after showering, when my skin was still damp. First, I was really happy with the size of the tin – since it only takes a bit of the body butter to moisturize, the product will last a long time. Also, I love that Carol’s Daughter includes a little bit of “decoration” in each tin – an almond in Almond Cookie (of course – though I would have been happier with a cookie) and a slice of dried apple with Jamaican Punch. Carol’s Daughter always adds a little something extra in each product, which I think is so cool and makes me want to reorder every time – it’s little touches that keep companies in the forefront of my mind and make me want to give them my business over and over.
Both body butters work equally well. As a woman with dry skin, I really love this product – it starts out hard, but softens under the heat from your hands and liquefies. Once applied, your skin takes on this beautiful gleam, but it absorbs almost instantly, so you’re not left with greasy shine. I loved both scents – Almond Cookie is soft and sweet and can be used even with a perfume, since it’s not overpowering. Jamaican Punch is a much heavier fragrance – in fact, I think it smells like potpourri, but I like it!

Melissa's DeLush Downlow: Oh my goodness. I'm going to cut to the chase and tell you that I am really glad to have discovered Product Body. (About the Road Wash) Imagine a very softened bar soap that you could easily scoop out of a jar and lather into softnes onto your skin. Oh, and add a luscious scent that you wish you could eat. That's the Road Wash (and the regular-sized Wash, which comes in a much bigger container and lasts a long time). How often do you skip packing soap and take the risk of using what you find at a hotel or your host's home because you don't like those flimsy travel plastic soap containers and are afraid body wash will leak all over your clothes? Now just toss this jar (which takes up as much room as a small jar of face cream) into your bag and you will always have fabulous-smelling, gentle soap with you.
(About the Cream) This is a light, whipped-feeling skin nourisher that also smells as fabulous as the Wash. It soaks quickly into the skin and adds softness without greasiness. This is a good option for daily use when you just want to add a little moisture but are in need of a mood-boost.

Jen's Experience: I am usually really bad about putting on body lotion unless my legs look like they're dry as a bone. But this body lotion from Arbonne International smells so wonderful, I look forward to putting it on after my shower every day. It doesn't smell overly fruity or perfume-y, but is just pleasant and clean.
As a lotion, it keeps my legs and arms feeling healthy and moisturized, but is much less greasy than a lot of body lotions out there. I can put it on after my shower and put on jeans in 5 minutes without being conscious of the tacky feel of a lotion. At the end of the day when I climb into my bath, my legs still feel moisturized.
This body lotion is an absolute winner. It works for my dry skin, but since it's non-greasy, I would recommend it for all skin types who are looking for a totally wearable body lotion with a fantastic scent.

Jen's Experience: I have extremely dry skin in the winter time, and that lessens to a workable level of dry by summer. Even though my skin is in a little better shape right now, I'm showing more of it, and that means I want it to look great. I've been using Purely Shea's Organic Shea Butter for a little over a month now with fantastic results.
Putting it on my elbows and knees keeps my self-tanner from sneaking into the rough spots and causing discoloration. I use the shea butter on my feet so that the bottoms of my feet look better in all my cute summer sandals. It moisturizes without ever feeling greasy.
In fact, I wish this product were a little more spreadable so that I could use it all over my body. It really is the consistency of butter right out of the refrigerator, so you'll need to warm it up in your hands in order to spread it.
This is a great product to supplement your moisturizing routine in those really dry areas, especially for those of you with dry skin like me.

What They Say: "The Body Oil Spray is a lightweight body oil that gives skin a sensual sheen. Fragranced with the provocative, modern scent of the azurée body collection."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: It would be very easy to get the wrong idea about this product. Like myself, you may imagine it to possibly be greasy, shiny, and messy.
Well, you'd be wrong.
When you spray this onto your skin and rub it in, what you'll notice right away is that it almost immediately absorbs, leaving skin soft and silky with a healthy glow, but no shine and absolutely no greasy feel. Your hands won't even feel slick after applying it! This is definitely a more grown up version of body oil spray, with no sparkles and no glaring sheen. It just makes your skin feel soft moisturized and look healthy. The fragrance is the only thing that I'd say may not appeal to each and every one of you. But that doesn't mean that I think it's not nice. It's like a combination of baby powder and suntan oil in fragrance, and I rather like it, but I'd recommend testing it at the counter before committing to it if you aren't sure that's something you'd like.

What They Say: "Unless “work” means “sunbathing,” we don’t want to have any part of it in the summer. Unfortunately, we’re not that lucky. Not to worry: a few spritzes of this non-greasy, dry oil shimmer spray will give even the most office-dulled skin a glistening champagne-colored sheen. The avocado & apricot oils moisturize, while the Vitamin E works as an antioxidant to prevent premature signs of aging. Even better? The light coconut scent is convincing enough to have anyone believe you’ve just spent a day lounging in the summer sun…you’re just that fabulous."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: I'm going to start right off by telling you that unless you are a huge fan of shimmer, as in you just love to use shimmer as a skin accessory when you go out, then you probably won't find much use for this. Perhaps if you're a teen through college-aged this will appeal to you.
Yes, it smells nice and summery. The dry oil absorbs completely and is not greasy in the least. But the moisturizing effects are very minimal...it's all about the shimmer. While it is tasteful and not at all large glittery bits, this product basically smells like coconut suntan oil and just adds lots of very fine shimmer to your skin. And your hands from applying it. ...And anything your hands touch (like your face).
I will say this: if you do want the shimmer and day-at-the-beach scent, this stuff doesn't just wash off right away. You could use it at the beach or pool over your sunscreen and take a dip and I HIGHLY doubt that this stuff will come off. I washed my hands with plain water AND soap & water and scrubbed them dry with a towel ...and YEP, still shimmery.

Jen's Experience: I like using Kiss My Face products in general because of their extensive use of natural ingredients and their stance against animal testing. But this product brings my love to an all-new level. Here's a body moisturizer that is designed for dry skin that really works without leaving my skin greasy at all. You may notice when you apply it that the white lotion doesn't really sink in all that quickly, but given a few minutes, it soaked in and left my legs feeling silky smooth. This body moisturizer is a winner for my dry skin, and I think for anyone out there with normal to dry skin that this is a product you will love.

What They Say: “Magical Melanin Moisturizer: 83% Organic (8 oz. SRP $22) A natural sun protectant, melanin is so magical; and we all have it. Indulge your melanin in this luxurious, super moisturizing, super organic skin nourishing treat. It has the super powers of a body butter, and sinks right in. Select ingredients magically feed, pamper, and nourish your soon to be healthier sexy skin. You can say thanks to all the natural fruit extracts, organic and fairly traded African butters and oils like wild-crafted raw shea butter and organic Moroccan Argan oil. Naturally loaded with a magical dose of super antioxidant vitamins A, E, & D.”
Toya's Experience: I’m pretty disappointed that I’m so unimpressed with the very first product I’m reviewing for DeLush. The first thing I noticed was the overwhelming scent. I actually gagged just a bit – it smells exactly like a York Peppermint Patty. I hate York Peppermint Patties. I knew that made me biased against the product, from the start, so I asked my husband, who likes peppermint patties – he hated the smell, too. It was just way too overpowering – I applied the moisturizer after my shower and right before going to bed and the next morning the chocolatey peppermint smell was just as strong. Not good. I had to take another shower in the morning so that the smell of the moisturizer didn’t conflict with my perfume.
The moisturizer comes out of the bottle thick like shea butter, which I like because I have dry skin and like to apply thicker creams at night. The problem is, when the moisturizer is emulsified, it becomes greasy. It doesn’t sink into your skin at all, contrary to the blurb sent along with the product. I looked like I’d fallen into an oil slick. It took quite a while before my feet weren’t extra shiny from it.
Retail Price: $22.00 (at inkylovesnature.com as well as some Whole Foods markets)
Toya's Rating:
– the scent is cloying, the product is heavy and greasy and doesn’t sink in well at all. I can’t recommend it, but maybe some of you will like the scent and appreciate the extra heavy moisturization.
What They Say: "End the invigorating bath and body experience with a creamy and extremely moisturizing Pookamint™ Body Lotion that will leave your skin silky smooth. Our body lotion contains Vitamin E, providing a smooth layer of natural sun protection for your skin."
Jen's Experience: I really love the way this stuff smells. It's minty, but not overpowering, and somehow smells a little sugary. I love that I can enjoy the scent throughout the day when I wear it on my face and arms.
As a moisturizer, it feels thick when I'm applying it, but less so once it's on my skin. It's a good hand moisturizer since it doesn't leave skin greasy and soaks in rather quickly. It's done wonders on some dry skin patches on my hands and around the nailbed.
I think this would make a good body moisturizer for most skin types -- dry, normal, even sensitive skin based on my experience. And with its delicious scent? Definitely a keeper in my book.

Today, we're featuring a line-up of luxurious skin care products at drugstore prices from the brand Skin Milk, available at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, drugstore.com and other food, drug and mass market retailers. Each of these products retails at just $4.99. At these kinds of prices, you can afford to choose more than one!
"Replenish your skin with the moisturizing benefits provided by SkinMilk® Body Cream. This rich cream helps improve skin's texture. Skin Milk® Body Cream also contains real milk proteins and vitamins A, D and E to soften and smooth skin as well as White Pond Lily and Comfrey botanical extracts, which help in soothing the effects of dry skin."
Jen's Experience:Of all the products in this line, this one is my favorite. The body cream is super light and fluffy, it easily smooths onto my skin without feeling greasy, and soaks in well-enough that I can wear it under clothing. My chief complaint with this product, as with all of the Skin Milk products I've reviewed, is the vanilla-coconut fragrance. I've never been much of a vanilla girl, though, so others may be a fan of the scent.
"SkinMilk® Facial Scrub gently removes dead skin cells and impurities by using the natural exfoliant properties of oat flour and almond meal. The wholesome goodness of milk proteins and vitamins A, D and E leaves your skin smooth and soft."
Jen's Experience: I tend to be a little wary of exfoliators with my dry, sensitive skin, but this facial scrub used 3 times each week definitely resulted in brighter skin and no irritation, and left my face feeling soft, not at all dry.
"Indulge yourself in a luxurious skin-softening bath. SkinMilk® Foaming Bath contains real milk proteins along with vitamins A, D, and E that soften and smooth the skin. The long lasting foam contains botanical extracts of White Pond Lily and Comfrey to leave your skin feeling fresh and soft."
Jen's Experience: Have you ever wished you could fill you tub with bubbles like you see on film? The amount of bubbles produced by this foaming bath will make you feel pampered like movie star, and the moisture that this product adds to your body will last long after you've put on your dressing gown. Watch out, though, it will make your bathtub super slippery.
"Pamper your skin while you cleanse the body. This gentle was creates a lather that will leave your skin soft and supple. SkinMilk® Shower Gel contains real milk proteins and vitamins A, D and E to smooth and soften the skin, as well as White Pond Lily and Comfrey botanical extracts which help soothe the body."
Jen's Experience: I really love a good shower gel, and this one seems to be a high quality product that lives up to its claims. I especially like the pump dispensers, a brilliant choice for those with slippery hands.
"Soften and smooth your skin every time you wash your hands with SkinMilk® Anti-Bacterial Hand Wash. The delicate soap blend combined with skin moisturizing emollients leaves your hands feeling moisturized and clean."
Jen's Experience: I have always used Bath and Body Works Anti-Bacterial cleansers at the sink, and this product compares favorably, although I would like a fruitier scent. I've used it extensively to remove self-tanning lotions, and it's thorough and does the job without drying out my hands.
What They Say: "ONBody Moisturizer gets you going in the am; picks you up in the pm. Smooth it ON and feel a burst of energy."
Jen's Experience: I picked up two tubes of moisturizer Kiss My Face's new Obsessively Natural collection at Old Navy recently. I got the nicely sized sample sizes, which are perfect for your work or gym bag. The flavors I chose after a great deal of deliberation were Green Tea + Mint and their White Chocolate + Orange, which is so incredibly delicious smelling I want to eat it. I've been using the moisturizers mostly on my hands. They get really dry, but normally I hate the sticky feeling I get with moisturizers. Not this one. It soaks in quickly, leaving my hands moisturized but not tacky, so I can keep working. Right now, Old Navy has their ONBody collection on sale for 30% off, which puts these sample sizes at only 70 cents a piece! With a price like that, I may have to go back and get some more!

What They Say: "Finally! By popular demand, your favorite Jaqua Buttercream Frosting scent is now available in a luscious lotion containing passionflower extract and aloe. This moisturizing formula is lighter than our Buttercream Frosting Body Butter and portable packaging makes it perfect for the girl on the go! This product layers beautifully with our Buttercream Frosting Shower Syrup."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: Have you ever SMELLED Jaqua's Buttercream Frosting?!? If not, all I can say is do not try to eat it. You'll want to, that's how good it smells. This formula is very light, so it's probably more for benefit of scent rather than moisturizing (especially if you're looking for relief for very dry skin). Apply this after your bath or shower to seal in a bit of moisture with its delectable scent. But you can't get a sweeter pick-me-up during the day than to apply some of this between errands or at your desk as well.

What They Say: "Fleur de Chocolat Orange-Chocolate Shea Butter is a sensual body moisturizer. It can be used on the face, body, and hair or as a rich lip treatment. Derived from the African shea tree, this 100% natural massage balm provides necessary essential elements for the renewal of skin cells."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: This may be the first time I've actually been tempted to lick my hands after moisturizing them. This time of year especially, I feel plagued by dry hands constantly. This luscious, smooth formula practically melts when rubbed into your skin and isn't at all greasy. The result is incredibly soft skin. Don't be afraid to use it everywhere else, too. I haven't used it on my hair, but I have used it on my lips (it's got a slight orange-sweet flavor, but not much) and my arms and legs and the comforting softness is a real relief for parched skin.

What They Say: "Our oil-free, residue-free body moisturizer scientifically synthesizes natural vitamin b5 and soothing bergamot extract with absorbent fatty acids for performance. Naturally hydrates and ph balances all skin types, unlike traditionally greasy, pore-clogging oils and wax and silicone fillers. No slick or slippery false sense of moisturize. A nourishing treatment that eliminates wait-time for dressing. Natural fragrance and color. Easily integrated into daily maintenance and prevention regimen."
Jen's Experience:As soon as the air gets cooler and drier, my skin starts getting drier and I have to break out some serious moisturizer for my body. I like the shea butter moisturizers because they seem to last a really long time. What I don't like is how they don't absorb into my skin quickly (if at all) so my clothes seem to stick to my skin.
Well this year, there's a new moisturizer in my cabinet to cure my dryness and ashy legs: Malin + Goetz's incredible Vitamin B5 Body Moisturizer. After I smooth it on, I can feel my skin drinking it up. It makes my skin feel so soft and it calms the redness that often accompanies dry skin. And it really lasts! If I put it on before I go to work, when I undress at night, my skin is smooth with just a trace of the moisturizer itself protecting my skin.
And the scent is absolutely wonderful. Not overpowering, or sweet or cloying. Just a very clean smelling, citrus-y scent that will inspire you to wear it all over your body.

Malin + Goetz launched their product line in March of 2004 to rave reviews in a stunning array of publications. Matthew Malin (veteran of Kiehl's) and Andrew Goetz (longtime design professional) designed this unisex line of skin care products to use gentle ingredients that are effective for all skin types.
Their cleansers are amino-acid based, so they aren't drying like traditional detergent-based cleansers. By using fatty-acids and fatty alcohols, they've created moisturizers that are oil-free and residue-free. Whether you have dry or oily skin, or a combination of both, their skin care products will clean and moisturize gently and naturally.
In addition to their current window at Barney's New York, Malin + Goetz's facial scrub was most recently featured in the October 2005 issue of Oprah Magazine. But don't get the impression these products are just for the ladies. New York Times Magazine's fall fashion issue suggested buying these products for the man in your life, and back in June, their colognes were featured in Cargo (the male version of Lucky).
With their natural ingredients and botanical fragrances, it's easy to see why Malin + Goetz is getting so much great publicity. This is a line you'll want to try.
What They Say: (About the scent: "A creamy touch with a warm wooden pulsation that counterpoints the vanilla sweetness.") About the Body Milk Product: "Rich in starch, a moisturising body milk with an exceptional powdery texture and a matte finish on the skin. The combination of provitamin B5, lanolin and Jojoba oil enhances the suppleness of the skin, while also providing long-lasting hydration. Active Aloe juice, extremely rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and antioxidant enzymes, supports the immune system of the skin.
Contains: Starch powder, active Aloe, provitamin B5, lanolin, Wheat proteins, Jojoba oil.
Dermatologically tested
Mineral oil free - Silicone free
Enriched with active plant extracts
250 ml / 8.45 fl oz
Ideally combined with showergels and body waters in order to retain the fragrance much longer on the skin."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: I almost have no words. That is how inept I feel at describing just how much I want you to - no, I think you NEED TO - try this lotion. You will then understand. Perhaps I picked the perfect scent for my tastes and that figures into my enchantment, but if you and I differ there, not to worry, because Korres has 7 other ways for you to experience it (Basil Lemon, Bitter Almond, Cedar, Mint Tea, Coriander, Nutmeg, and Citrus). But you know, let's talk about this Vanilla Cinnamon business. I struggle to describe the scent any better than they have, but I will try (because frankly, some of their verbage is a bit...wordy at times). First of all, you will NOT smell like a basket of Christmas cinnamon pinecones, so get that out of your head. I would probably describe it more like a slightly sweet, creamy hot drink sprinkled with cinnamon...on a cold winter night...in front of the fire...smelling absolutely delicious. It is definitely not overbearing, but makes me so excited I am catching myself sniffing my arms each time I wear it.
The formula itself is also fabulous - light, quickly-absorbing, and hydrating. It actually does leave a comfy soft touch on the skin (ever so slightly!) that I have also become quite spoiled by. My husband LOVES this scent, and the way it makes my skin feel.
I suggest that you RUN, NOT WALK, to try this product by Korres. And be careful, because I may knock you over on my way to try some more of their formulas and scents.

What They Say: "A Sheer Moisturizing Experience
Light Sesame Formula
The Sensual Moisturizer®
Experience Neutrogena Body Oil. Its light sesame formula glides on easily to moisturize dry skin. It's so sheer it vanishes into shower-damp skin leaving soft and silky, with a radiant, healthy glow. No moisturizer can touch this experience."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: Whoa. Try this. I'm not kidding, lovelies. Now, the application may be a tad tricky - but that can be worked around. And contrary to what you might think...as long as you don't use too much, your skin really won't feel greasy and slick when all is said and done, just fantastically soft. And the smell - GAH - the smell is so wonderful. A true luxury from the drugstore, of all places.
User Tips from Neutrogena: "After a shower or bath while your skin is still damp, smooth on a few drops to help seal in moisture. Then treat yourself to a few pampering minutes while your body dries naturally, or simply pat dry with a towel. In the bath, add to water and soften your skin while you bathe." *And personally, I like to douse a cotton ball with the oil and then apply it that way - less messy and easier to control the oil.

What They Say: "Replace your ordinary lotion with a revolutionary rinse-off body lotion! Olay Moisturinse works with the warmth and humidity of your shower to reveal soft, smooth skin after 1 use. Daily use will improve hydration of dry skin in 5 days."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: I can't argue with Olay on this one. My skin was definitely soft after the first use, and after several times, I got pretty used (READ: Addicted) to the feeling. It was sort of nice to get the moisturizing out of the way before I got out of the shower...and it was a bit easier, too. There are some lotions that could give you the same effect, but this has definitely got convenience on its side. When you put it on, you feel a bit slick, so be careful! My only real unfulfilled wish is that the smell was less...perfumey. That could definitely be improved.

What They Say: "Glistening is in this season and it’s back on the catwalks with a vengeance. This is a trend that's going platinum and you can expect to see flecks of gold glitter gloriously on many diverse materials, including your skin with Jergens® Soft Shimmer® Moisturizer. And a real silver lining to this season is designer Cat Swanson, who illuminated the runway with a collection that proves SKIN IS IN."
Jen's Experience: A friend of mine let me borrow her bottle of Soft Shimmer moisturizer and I loved it so much, she let me take it home with me so that I could do a proper review. I am so lazy, it's hard for me to get in the habit of putting moisturizer on every day. It's all I can do to remember to put it on when I wear a skirt. But ever since Jergen's moisturizer made its way to my cabinet, I have been wearing more skirts and a lot more moisturizer! The texture of the moisturizer is generally very similar to a normal Jergen's moisturizer, but it smells fresh and clean, and the little bit of shimmer in the lotion makes my legs look radiant. Even if I don't spread it out well, the glitter effect is very subtle; I even wear it to work! This is my new favorite moisturizer. I hope my friend doesn't want her bottle back!

What They Say: "Glide Michael Kors Leg Shine along legs, knees, and ankles for a sleek, sexy shimmer that makes bare legs look healthy and glowing. Infused with the lush scent of Michael and packaged in a convenient "twist-up" canister, this easy-to-use product is also lightly tinted to even out imperfections."
Jen's Experience: Okay, sounds great, right? A little shimmer, a nice tint for your pale, thank-god-it's-finally-summer legs. I thought I would buy this to make up for my complete and total lack of color on my legs (and my general unwillingness to put forth the effort to get a fake tan). Well, first off, you've got to have a little tan to pull this off. When I put it on my legs, I found it to be a little orange-y, which is not natural and definitely not the look I am going for, but with a starter tan, the orange effect is less pronounced. I also found that it didn't apply very evenly. Some areas were more orange, while other areas just had a little shimmer. I thought at first that I just needed practice applying it, but after a few tries, I have decided that it must not be the easy solution for my pale, pale legs that I thought it was. It has now been relegated to the space underneath my sink, where bad products go to die. Oh, I do have one positive thing to say: it has the frangrance of "Michael", which is very summery and beachy, and makes me feel like I am on vacation whenever I wear it. Next time, I'm just going to buy the perfume.
Retail Price: $32.00 (Sephora)
Rating:

What They Say: "Get a healthy summer glow all year long just by moisturizing. Formulated with essential moisturizers and Erythrulose and DHA to gradually develop a soft natural tone and delicate shimmer, without any streaking or orange coloration you'd find in a self tanner. Noticeable change in skin color of up to one full shade in about one week with regular use. Ideal for fair to medium skin tones."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: I have become phobic of ALL lotion/spray/gel tanners over the last few years. And not because the formulas haven't improved and that some don't look pretty great. For me, it's all about the Slacker Factor. I hate the exfoliating. I really hate the reaching. And I hate the surprise dark patches. That's why I'm a huge fan of the wet towelettes (i.e., TanTowel). They were MADE for people like me. So I've stayed away from anything more involved than that for a very long time. Until now.
The thought of a barely-there tanning agent that I don't have to think of as anything other than moisturizer was intriguing. Part of it was mental, I'll admit. I mean, think of it as a moisturizer and all of the sudden it doesn't seem so scary, does it? So I gave this a shot.
The one I got was for fair skin tones. Because, hello, I'm pale. Have we met? So what I'm about to say is specific to that shade for me. The lotion is white, and has a pleasant smell. I just took their word for it and slathered it on without worrying. I did make sure to wash my hands well afterward. After letting it dry a bit I'd get dressed and go on with my day. After 2-3 uses you can definitely see something happening, and after about 5-6 uses you're pretty much there with the whole glowy thing. And guess what? No patches, no unevenness, no orange nails. Since I have no desire to look like I came from a month in Hawaii, this works just perfectly for me. A nice glow that takes away the winter white blahs.

What They Say: "For skin that feels like butter, insist on Sweet Cream. This moisturizing mist sprays onto skin, then dries down to leave your bod soft and refreshed. Try it, and get a taste of creamy milkmaid skin…relish the satiny-smooth texture. Sweet Cream treats you to vitamins A, C & E and mineral-rich sea salts, and the unique spray-on application leaves behind indulgent moisture without a mess. Fill Weight 260g e / 9.2 US oz
* Ultra-light formula sprays on as a thin mist, dries down, and is non-greasy.
* Bottle is decorated with retro dairy-inspired graphics."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: This stuff smells just wonderful; it's sort of coconut-y and sugar cookie all mixed together, though the scent itself is not overbearing at all. I like the ease of a spray lotion. Putting this on after your bath or shower will force you into feeling fresh and happy - there's just no getting around it. As far as moisturizing goes, spray liberally to get the best effect, but your skin may not feel as hydrated as you want it to be with this alone. Soft, yes - but it's not super-moisturizing. If that's the case, you can always apply this over your favorite lotion (minimal scent so as not to compete with this one). If it's mostly that lovely sweet smell and a touch of softness you're going for, apply alone anytime. Lasts well during the day, too.

What They Say: "A skin calming and soothing blend of Tuscan olive oil, borage and wheat germ seed oils and Vitamin E, this emollient body mist is perfect for a sensual and loving massage or just a soothing pick-me-up for dry itchy skin. Focus on the small of the back! Moisturizing for all skin types, this new and unique formula adds the perfect shimmer to beautiful skin. Emollient enough for those ladies that do not want a richer body sorbet and yet light enough to use over your sorbets to yield maximum moisture. Non-greasy and will not stain clothing.
Mist on, massage in and be voluptuous!
Available in two fragrance bouquets: Ginger & White Pepper and Mediterranean Mist."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: This is a great concept. I love body oils, but I don't love applying them. Seeing one in a spray always makes me very hopeful. I love the way this applies and feels afterward. It's amazingly not greasy but still is fairly moisturizing. Here's the big catch, and I mean a big one: the scent. It's not what I'd typically try to smell like. It's very...earthy. And perfume-y. Or something. But I wanted to give it a fair try and see how the scent settled into the skin. Umm...I just wasn't that happy about it. It reminds me of something I'd smell someone's grandma wearing as I walk past her in a store and try to get away from her waft. I am not sure, the ginger and white pepper may be much better scent-wise. This one was just too much for me to get past.

What They Say: "Last year, Mark, our top bod at Lush (he has no official title but we all know who's boss) asked the Lush forum for a list of beautiful words. Smitten was one of them. The forum members asked Mark for a lighter, daytime hand cream scented with the same deliciously mouth-watering fragrance as Snowcake soap. Fair's fair. Now we have a beautiful new hand cream with a beautiful name made with natural oils and butters for a longer term benefit for your mits. (Note to non-mother tongue English speakers: mittens are like gloves but with one big ‘finger' instead of the usual four so “Smitten” is a hand protector pun as well as a lovely name. Just so you know…)"
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: Handcream, schmandcream... It's really hard to impress me with handcream, mostly because I haven't seen too many that stand out from the rest. That could just be me, I guess. And although I am a new devotee of Lush, I was still skeptic. Shame on me - because this deliciously-almond-scented cream feels...like a silk slip on my hands. That sounds pretty grandiose, I know. But it's hard to verbalize the way the oils in this product moisturize your hands and make them feel noticeably different. When you first apply it, you'll think it's going to be a little too slick for you to continue about your activities with it on, but give it about 15 seconds to penetrate the skin, and aaaahhhhh...that's the only way to describe the feeling. It goes from slick-feeling to baby soft. I think you'll love it!

Jen's Experience: Not to make excuses, but I have been really busy lately and haven't exactly been going to the gym all that much. And I was kind of hoping that this stuff would firm up my legs a little so that I could continue to forego the gym. But alas, it doesn't do much in the way of firming up anything. As a moisturizer, it is generally pretty average. My legs seem less dry after a month of using it daily, and it didn't cause any breakouts on my generally very picky sensitive skin. It isn't particularly long lasting, though, so you'll want to apply it at least twice a day.

Melissa's DeLush Downlow: Okay, don't let anyone say I'm a product snob. It doesn't matter to me how expensive and/or fancy the brand, as long as it WORKS. And baby, does this ever work. I simply LOVE the way this lotion keeps my skin soft and moisturized all day. I usually apply it after a bath, and the light, fresh scent makes me feel all cozy and happy. What They Say: "With super-smoothing shea butter and refreshing eucalyptus. Smooth over feet to leave them soft, smooth and soothed."
My Experience: I don't often do much work with my feet. I think I've mentioned I leave that to the professionals, generally. After a long day of shopping or being on your feet, it's great to pamper your feet and give them something yummy, and this is it. It's a little on the goopy side, but it does feel great. If only they would come up with a way to apply it without me tickling myself!
Tips: This will make your sheets a little greasy if you go to bed right after applying it. You can use the Bath and Body Works Beauty Booties or just some nice thick socks if you like to prevent that from happening. I like to use this stuff on my elbows as well.

This rich cream provides a non-greasy, protective barrier to help cracked skin and prevent future dryness- leaving skin moisturized for 24 hours so that skin feels softer and smoother all day long."
Jen's Experience: I got this moisturizer right about the time that the air was getting crisp, and since then, I've made plenty use of it. I really like the way it feels on my skin, and I love that I can put it on at night and wake up in the morning and my skin feels like I just applied it (and it doesn't make the sheets all greasy). It doesn't drink in the moisture like a lot of products do. Another benefit of this cream is that it soothes irritated skin so that any patches of red, itchy skin are calmer and no longer inflamed.
Tips: Another great use for this moisturizer is to use it for extra intense moisture for your face if you have dry or irritated skin there as well. If I'm just laying around the house one day on a weekend, I will slather it on and it really makes my face feel nice.
