I've recently had the pleasure of testing some samples of several products from the BlueBasins product line. BlueBasins makes 100% natural bath and body products. They're handmade in small quantities to maintain their high standards. I wasn't able to test them long enough to give full reviews, but below are some of my initial impressions of each product.

Exfoliating Cocoa Butter & Sugar Body Scrub
"This combination of cocoa butter, soothing oils and turbinado sugar, create a wonderfully super moisturizing scrub for exfoliation and smoothing."
This is my favorite of all the products I tried from Blue Basins. It smells absolutely wonderful, and does a great job of cleaning my body gently but thoroughly. When the sugar crystals wash away, you're left with soft, moisturized skin. If you're looking for something that will really make you feel pampered, this is it!

Energy Body Shampoo
"[Energy Body Shampoo] contains essential oils that when blended together create an uplifting and revitalizing scent. Great for that person who need that pick me up in the morning."
As excited as I was about the sugar body scrub, I was disappointed in this one. I wasn't a fan of the scent, and the liquid was so runny that I found myself wasting more than I would like. However, after using it on my arms and shoulders, I noticed that they stayed soft throughout the day. Perhaps the essential oils did the trick.

Seaweed, Chamomile, Green Tea & Herb Polishing Facial Scrub
"Reveals your skin's natural beauty with the all important deep removal of surface dirt, debris and dead skin cells. Who for? Everyone, especially people with flaky dull skin. Reveals your skin's natural beauty with the all-important deep removal of surface dirt, debris and dead skin cells. This encourages healthy skin cell growth and circulation, leaving skin soft and glowing, ready to more effectively absorb moisture cream. "
What a strange product. There's no moisture in there; it's the consistency of talcum powder. Adding a small amount of water makes a nice paste that you can use to scrub your face. It's got some nice exfoliating properties, but I found it difficult to use, and also wasn't terribly fond of the scent.

Ultra Rich Hand and Body Butter
"This ultra rich body butter can be used to moisturize dry skin such as elbows, knees, feet and hands which is especially great during winter."
This moisturizer is truly the consistency of butter. But once you're able to pull some out of the container, you'll find it to really work on your dry areas -- and hands and feet as they recommend -- without being super greasy. The vanilla scent is light and unobtrusive. It also comes in an unscented version.

Mango Madness Whipped Body Souffle
"If you prefer a lighter body cream then our Whipped Body Souffles are for you. It absorb easily into the skin, leaving it moisturized and soft. Enjoy after a shower or bath or use throughout the day anytime. Great for use on all areas of the body. A great and natural way to scent your body. Are you mad for mango? This is our most popular scent because of its unique scent resembling a freshly cut mango smell. Yumm.."
It's hard to find a body souffle with a strong, delicious scent that also works great as a body moisturizer, but this one sure fits the bill. The scent is so amazing that I want to taste it, when spread on my legs I smelled it all day long. My legs also felt like they'd just been spread with shea butter hours later. This product is a definite winner, and would also make a fantastic gift for your female friends and family members.
