Review: Be.fine Eye Brightening Treatment

befine_eyetreatment.jpg

What They Say: This exceedingly gentle serum helps to alleviate dark circles using technology that illuminates the skin. Seaweed peptides & Avocado oils lift, tighten and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Jamie's Thoughts: This interesting product focuses on natural ingredients as the key to the results they promise. I can definitely agree with the claims of brightening - I saw a difference in about a week. It didn't completely get rid of my circles (which is near impossible, given my allergies and genetic predisposition to undereye woes), but there was a marked improvement. I noticed it most often in the morning, during that one glance I allow myself to take in the mirror before getting ready. I looked more rested, and my eyes didn't frighten me with their puffy, dark bags.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be careful about what they are putting near their eyes (this cream is paraben and allergen free). It has no scent, and absorbs almost instantly.

That being said, I didn't see very good results in the refining, wrinkle-fixing department. No noticeable difference whatsoever, and I used this religiously for a month, AM and PM. So those with aggressive fine lines might consider another product.

Reviews: Be.fine Food Skincare Exfoliating Cleanser & Lip Exfoliator

What They Say:
befineexcleanser.jpg(about the Exfoliating Cleanser) "Deep cleansing to gently slough and moisturize. Almond, naturally high in minerals, removes impurities. Brown Sugar & Oat calm and heal. This non-irritating light buffing cleanser clears away dull and damaged skin. Use Every Day to give yourself a mini facial."

(about the Lip Exfoliator) "Banish the effects of daily stress on your lips. While enhancing their natural color, Pineapple enzymes exfoliate and reveal fresh new skin for soft baby lips. Contains emollients, botanical extracts and vitamins to deliver smoothness, condition and moisturize. Wash Lips every day."

befinelipexf.jpgWhat Melissa Says: (about the Exfoliating Cleanser) I like that this cleanser is really efficient at getting all that dry, dead skin sloughed off easily without irritating my skin. The formula isn't the most gentle I've ever used, but that is compared with jojoba beads, so this is really quite acceptable. The only think I would say is a slight negative is that the scent is a little bit like cereal, and I don't love it...but I don't hate it, either. Overall, an effective product that produced no negative side effects for me.

(about the Lip Exfoliator) I love this stuff. While in the past I didn't see much need for a lip exfoliant, more and more I'm realizing the nice little luxury of taking just a moment to create super-soft, smooth lips that feel moisturized and rejuvenated. That's what this product does, with no negative taste or super-strong smell. It's a little tube of lip-pampering. I like it!

Review: Be.fine Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15

befinedaily.jpgWhat They Say: A feather weight, easily absorbed active collagen supporting formulation of Rosemary & Pomegranate: hydro balancing natural stimulants regenerate your skin. Rice provides natural protective moisture. Pomegranate increases the effect of spf15. Use to restore and protect.

Melissa Says: I actually liked this a.m. moisturizer's light feel. Though not as quickly-absorbing as the oil-free version I'd been using regularly, of course, this didn't take too long to soak into the skin. Unfortunately, this made me break out. The first time I noticed a few pimples where I don't even usually get them on my "off" days, I just thought "hmm, I wonder if it's this stuff? naahhh...", but took a break from it just in case. The second time there were just a few random ones again and I thought "oh great, is it possible this is just a bad coincidence?". One more try after about two weeks off, and the third time there was no question. There they were, on my forehead and either sidE of my nose. ENOUGH.

This could just be a reaction because of my skin type, so just use caution when deciding to use this if your skin is reactive sometimes to certain ingredients. It seems like it would be a good moisturizer otherwise, so if it doesn't bother you, go for it. And remember, if it does cause you to break out, you can always return the product to the drugstore to get a refund.
